Mother's Day Gift Bags

Once again we will be bringing a message of the grace and peace of Jesus to the mothers of the community of Las Palomas.  As in years past, we will be sewing gift bags and filling them with an assortment of "girlie goodies".  WRBC will also be providing a copy of "Palabras con Beth Moore", a pocket-sized flip book with verses of encouragement for each of the bags.

The bags will be distributed at the annual Mother's Day Celebration at the orphanage.  Last year at the celebration, we fed about 400 mothers and children and gave out more than 300 bags to the women.  We also helped sponsor a worship service in Spanish for the mothers, and a carnival for the kids.

You Can Help!!!

By volunteering to help sew gift bags.  (See Beth Breshears or Lisa Greene for samples)

By donating gifts for the mothers such as:

Personal hygiene items

Kitchen tools (spatulas, pot holders, mixing spoons, etc.)

Hair accessories

Cosmetics (lipstick, lip gloss or nail polish)

Chewing gum

Other small gifts

Please leave any items you wish to donate in the box for the orphanage which is located next to the kitchen.  All donations should be left before May 1st.

By going to Palomas for the Mother's Day celebration May 8th or 9th- 11th.  (Contact Beverly Basey-Jones if interested)

Thank you so much for your contributions!
