Visiting a new place
for the first time can sometimes be
intimidating. We want you to feel relaxed
and comfortable from the first time you worship
with the family. We hope your time with us
is positive from the moment you drive into our
parking lot until the time you leave.
We'd like to meet you
personally on your first visit. We've tried
to anticipate some of the questions you may have
before you come for the first time. You'll
find the answers to these questions listed
below. If you have additional questions,
contact us at info@wrbcnm.org.
We'll be happy to answer any questions you may
have.
When should I
arrive?
The first time you
visit with us, plan to arrive a little
early. This will give you time to park, drop
off your little ones (if you desire), stop by our
Information Center for helpful information and
find a comfortable place to sit in our Worship
Center.
Where should
I park?
There are designated
parking spaces reserved just for you, our
guest! These spaces are located in the west
parking lot. A friendly parking lot
attendant is available to direct you to additional
parking areas.
What should I
wear?
Be yourself! If
you are more comfortable meeting God in your blue
jeans, feel free to wear them. If a suit and
tie help you worship God, then, by all means,
dress accordingly. We're more interested in
your connecting with God and our church family
than we are in what you wear.
How can I get
more information about the
church?
Our Information
Center is located in the Gathering Space, across
from the fountain. You can find out more
about the church, our life and work, and
opportunities for you and your
children.
What about my
kids?
We want your children
to have a wonderful "church" experience, to build
good memories, to know great people, to grow in
genuine faith. We have an excellent nursery
and a dynamic children's program for preschoolers
through 6th grade. We also have a great
youth program--with a Sunday morning class for
middle school students and a class for high school
students.
Am I expected
to give when the offering plate goes
by?
The offering time is
a part of worship--your participation is entirely
up to you, in accordance to your response to
God. The offering plates are passed for
convenience. We are interested in your
having a valuable worship experience. If you
are led to give, please know that your
contributions, unless otherwise designated, are
used solely to support the wide range of
ministries and missions of the
church.
Will I have
to wear a special name tag or otherwise be
recognized as a guest at your
service?
No. (Not unless
it is the rare Sunday when everyone is wearing a
nametag!) We want you to be relaxed and
comfortable in our services without fearing that
you might be singled out in some way.
